Jennifer Griffiths is an Associate Professor of English at the New York Institute of Technology’s Manhattan campus and the author of Traumatic Possessions: The Body and Memory in African American Women’s Writing and Performance (U of Virginia P 2009). She is currently working on two book projects: an interdisciplinary edited collection on violence and black youth contemporary culture and a monograph on representations of adolescent risk and resilience in post-Civil Rights era African American writing.
